The Technology Connected Communities (TCC) project is a collaboration between New Mexico Highlands University and the Northern New Mexico Consortium (NNMC) that seeks to deliver culturally responsive curriculum to underserved populations in Northern New Mexico. The curriculum is grounded in Acequia and Land Grant Education (ALGE), which is infused in Hispanic, Indigenous, and Anglo heritages and delivered using an open educational model using a stackable micro-credential platform. Participants are provided hardware, software and relay supports to access programing. Building off of the New Mexico GEER Grant that offered free, online, self-paced modules recognized by the NNMC for resume & skills building, as well as professional development, the TCC includes community members, teachers, and students in the region to strengthen digital outreach within these communities to further expand culturally and linguistically responsive frameworks within the state. The goals of the project include the following:
