The Norteños Leaders Rising program is a graduate program hosted by New Mexico Highlands University that seeks out classroom teachers that would like to become principals, school counselors, and school social workers and pairs them with mentors in partnership schools, and provides additional mentoring opportunities with nationally recognized institutes.
Participants have their graduate tuition paid and are given a summer stipend for living costs. The next cohort can apply March 2025.
